A couple months ago, I had the privilege of talking to a group of Stanford freshmen about the potential of games to matter, not just to a mainstream audience but to academia itself, as a medium as valuable as any other. To their credit, they asked fantastic follow-up questions, which pushed me on many of my assumptions and helped me think through my reasoning. Thus, I’m sure I could do a much better job on this topic the next time around (got to work in the ReDistricting Game, for one thing). Until then, here is the promised link to the slides if anyone wants to peruse them.
